This documentary about a girl living in the remote area of China with XP (Xeroderma Pigmentosum), a genetic DNA disorder which is unable to repair itself caused by ultraviolet damage on the skin, is a heart wrenching story that will repulse you at the beginning and then move you to tears in the end.
Cancer is one of the most indignifying and tortuous diseases any human being could endure, and for this girl, Wan Lao Yang, age nine, is even more disheartening.
The filmmakers follow the girl's trials up until the stage of her surgery at the Great Ormond Street Hospital, which was suppose to offer a new life when they removed the tumors.
For the human experience of tragedy and inspiration watch this and be thankful for the miserable life you have.
